I need some new wheels. I want to stick with Crest rims as I get on well with them.
I reckon I can stretch to Hope Pro 2s on Crest (about £300 the pair from Stif) but would I be missing out on anything significantly better for a slight increase? I'd have to dip deeper into my cash reserves but I'm sure I could manage it if push came to shove.
I want light XC wheels, six bolt, QR.
I have a pair of Crest on Hugi (DT240s) hubs on my other bike and they are brilliant, just not sure I could stretch that far though.
Hmm... that means something between the two so, hubs that are light, reliable and crap proof which are easy to replace bearings on.
Going the other way Crest 29ers on Evo Switch Hubs are £220 from Superstar.
Not crests, but liking my american classic XCs. Lighter than hope on crest...
Superstar, had some Superleggera hubs from them, they looked nice but ate bearings.
