Depends on what your aims are.
Ours works for us. i.e. it drags traffic to our main web site. That's it's aim.

I read about this the other day, if you put offers on it etc it works a dream! If not it is useless. The examples where Starbucks gave away a free muffin on one particular day if you recommended a friend to there facebook page (something like that) where as nestle were just putting there annual report on their page you can imagine who had more followers and whos page was generating them more income.
Now obviously your company is a bit different to these two multinationals, but you get the idea.
