Mrs_OAB isn't getting on with current saddle, we have tried two and just none are right as her old, old Selle Italia womens from about 1997...

LBS has Fabric womens saddles in, with a 'try it for 60 days' offer. Seems a great way of trying a new saddle.

Questions - anyone else do a 'try it and return it if you don't get on' offer? And any way of telling what which of the three widths of saddle we should look try?

Mrs Daern was measured in a Spesh store - they had a big spongy pad for her to sit on which gave a very unflattering view of her sitting bones, which translated into a saddle width.

On the back of this, we bought a new saddle (oddly, not from this store as they had none in stock) and she has since declared it an improvement on the old.

I think Spesh do saddle trials, don't they?

FWIW, I get on with the newer Selle Italia on my road bike (Diva Flow or some other such crap girly name - the one with the hole in it). On my MTBs I use a Madison Flux/Charge Spoon/SDG Bel Air (they are essentially all the same). I've got a big bum but my sit bones are actually quite narrow so I don't need a womens' specific one - your wife might not either.

I've been using the mens Fabric saddles on all my bikes for the past year or so, I prefer them to the more expensive Fiziks I was using previously. Radius on the Trail full sus MTB, Shallow on my racier XC hardtail and same on the road bike.

It's 60days, and normally the cost against another Fabric saddle so you can try other shapes. But not typically a straight up refund.

Bontrager do a good range of ladies saddles (width\shape) and no quibble guarantee, full refund available within 30days.
