Hi. Simple question really. Are these bbs all interchangeable assuming they are the same shell size?

Nope, not at all. Shimano and Race Face use the same diameter axle but pretty much everyone else is different. It's all about the axle.
thats not right.
there are 2 external systems.
GXP - truvative & sram cranks.
HT11 - shimano, raceface, fsa cranks.
BBs will either be shimano or truvative compatible.
ps.
external BBs have no shell size. (spacers sort this out)
HT11 road and mtb are slightly different.
Only ever used shimano and only heard everyone else was different. My bad 😳
To redeem myself slightly: there are those 15G ones reviewed in this months mag. They seem to use larger bearings at least.
FSA can be bodged to work with Shimano/Race face cups
