quick question to any maxxd owners out there. I’ve just picked up a mk10 maxxd and on the clear back where the stainless steel button is there are 2 small gaps either side of the button, which appear to be open to the elements. Should there be some kind of gasket in there? It seems a bit risky that rain/mud might find it’s way in there and not mix well with the electronic bits. Is this a design feature?!

My Strada is the same design. It’s not been a problem.

My one is the same. Rarely take it off the bike when it gets a hose down, including last night. Never had an issue.

Thanks folks! Sounds like it should be fine then.

They are IPx6 so yes you can soak them with a hose, but you can't immerse them.

Also if you drop and crack the lens don't then rinse off the muc-off that had leaked over it on the shelf in the shed. 😭

On the flip side exposure repaired it and it's still going strong.

I've been out with my strada in some really miserable weather and it's been fine.
