Just got a Exp Joystick

What does everyone use as a lanyard to stop it flying off when flicked off by a low lying branch or similar?

Do you all use the Exp lanyards or similar???

Are they attached to your helmet or camelbak??

Sorry for all the questions just dont want to loose it

Thanks

I lost mine off the bar mount in daylight so didn't see it go, always use a lanyard, it was an expensive lesson for me.

I'll source a lanyard before my night ride tomorrow night, dont want to loose it like Markenduro tad expensive to replace on a regular basis.

trail_rat you must be lucky then fella or a top rider who doesnt fall off like the rest of us LOL ๐Ÿ˜‰

Have made a string type thingy but it looks well crap so that'll have to go for sure!!

Ive never even thought about using a safety strap and have worn mine on my head for years

If you crash or hit a tree and it comes off then it will be faily obvious that the beam of light shooting vertically from the bushes is probably where your torch is

Or am I missing something - I admit I never travel with mine in daylight

iamsporticus - very true but if travelling at pace could be a long way back and always a chance it'll be pointing into the mud!!!

bananaworld - I don't have a piggy back battery - yet but I guess that would help.

Even without a piggyback battery I'm still sure that my original post answers your question...

pleased to report "bit of string" worked a treat last night well worked in the fact that didn't loose the light when I crashed through some low level branches.

Will source a lanyard for asthetics soon ๐Ÿ˜‰

thanks for all the advice
