Numpty school boy - new Diablo light and fitting the helmet mount for my first night ride of the year I over tightened the bolt. Snapped the mount. 😳

Any alternatives out there? Do I really need to stump up £15 plus for a new one?? Grrrrrrr

I use an Light & Motion helmet fitting which allows me to only use the bar fitting for helmet or bars.
£6.94 tredz

Ask nicely. Which part do you need. I may have (ahem) lost a Joystick and replaced it recently.

Cut a piece of inner tube about 3" long, cut two 'v's in the top and feed the light through the outside edges and the centre through a vent in your helmet.
Sorry, got no piccie but it worked well enough for a Tour Divide.

also looking at this. Had a diablo for a while and the mount is rubbish. I asked about it at ard rock with them this year and they were like urm yea. Use the lanyard to stop you loosing it.

Mine just pops out all the time.

any other ideas are welcome. Ive got access to a 3d printer so if anyone has any ideas?

i used a plumbers pipe connector, there are snap in ones and some with a catch over the top. with a bit of faffing can be made to work. cheap alternative as its about £3 for 10 pieces

If lose your light out of the mount I'd send it back to use. I've used a diabolo for a couple of years now and the only time mine's come out is when I've clattered in to something.

Exposure/USE just sent my friend a replacement bolt this week foc. I'd tell them what happened and ask if a replacement is available.
