Experience of Endura GV500 jacket?

Thinking about buying a primaloft insulated jacket and the Endura GV500 looks a good option for someone of my girth.

Does anyone have any experience of how good, bad, or indifferent the jacket is? Or any suitable alternatives?

I bought one 2 years ago, its bloody warm!  I managed to get one in the sale and its a really nice and comfortable jacket to wear.

I have only worn it a few times (on the bike) as it needs to be really cold for me to put it on.  I usually take it with me as a spare layer for coffee stops, puncture etc.  Its very lightweight and packable.

My only complaint is that it doesn't have the elastic pull strap around the waist of the jacket, but other than that its a very good jacket.

I'd echo the above - seems like a nice jacket but I wouldn't want to ride far with it on (I do run hot though). Great stuffed in the bottom of your pack "just in case" though.

any suitable alternatives?

Madison DTE Hybrid jacket.

Bloody brilliant jacket, nice and toasty but you can still work quote hard in it.

Was widely available with big discounts, think I paid £35 - but is actually worth the RRP in my view.

Fits true to size BTW.

Thanks again. Actually plumped for an Altera equivalent at 50% discount in the sales.
