[Closed] exceptionally cheap - should I be wary?

Cycle Sports UK Reba Dual Air forks are £70 cheaper than CRC /Evans. The company has some good mentions on this forum.

But I don't usually spend this amount of money (in fact, I looked for 2011 models first but couldn't find any). I tried Evans 'price match promise' but that refused to match that company, so I'm a little nervous.

Do you think it's OK?

Aren't these forks even cheaper at Merlin cycles?

I've bought from them. The only Q is if they really are in stock. I'd guesstimate - not. That's my experience for their "in stock".

Otherwise - they're the wrong size wheels 😉

And QR and 1 1/8 so I know nothing of 29er world but that wouldn't be a bargain in 26ers. But maybe that's how it is now?

I don't know about the company but CRC/Evans aren't always rock bottom prices. I've seen some forks on crc for £200 a while ago and then I saw them in their massive amazing fork discount in their sale for £300. Basically just because they are cheap, doesn't mean that they're dodgy, but they just might be 😆

Bought some shorts off Cycle Sports UK earlier this year...they were very cheap and I was a bit suspicions but actually the shorts turned up quickly. Would use them again.

I can vouch for them for them on price AND on service.

Excellent in both regards.

I bought a set of Hope/Stans's wheels from them...delivered when promised at the best price.

Received them, discovered that Stan's Rims should have been labelled 'tubeless only' as opposed to 'tubeless ready' and rang them for advice.

I told them I wasn't happy with them and they offered completely without any grief the offer of a swap. I accepted and they arranged collection of the unwanted wheels and re-delivery of the the new Hope/EX500s without charge.

Granted they didn't include the 20mm adaptor but on reporting this to them they sent out the 20mm adaptor which arrived the next day.

Highly recommended. 🙂

Don't be silly

Bolloxing up the order twice does not equal good service.
As long as you're happy though 🙄

But Stans rims aren't 'tubeless only'?

CSUK and their sister site Venus Sports are great, often the cheapest, and good to deal with. regular customers get 5% plus vouchers on top (Hope, Maxxis etc.). have used for years no problems. don't carry much stock though so not usually quickest.

They didn't - my reference/dig was a Stan's rims being a PITA to mount tyres (with tubes)...

Thought it was obvious from my post.

Try mounting them with tubes and you'll see what I mean - They give me major grief ❗

As per my post
