Currently riding an XL Scott 29er, 475 reach seat tube 510. Looking at a v1 following large felt miniscule but XL suggests riders over 6'4", I'm 6'. Reach on v1 is 439 for large and 457 on XL. Anyone 6' and riding an XL?
Maybe I'm riding too long a bike atm!?
I'm 6"2' and chose the XL & have had it since June 2015 and not regretted the decision

I’m 6ft and riding a large. A shop said I should buy XL but someone I was talking to who had owned one said Large was the right size for me.
For a while I wondered if I got the wrong one but having measured it compared to my other bike which are all large it’s pretty much bang on +/- 5mm
I measure from the back of my seat to the centre nut on the stem to try to account for seattube angle and on the Evil it’s 760mm.
Not sure if this helps you but I’m also using a 40mm stem.

Be interested to read the responses. 6ft 4”, so pretty sure I’d be getting an XL.

I think 6’ to 6’2” could go either way depending on how you like the size to be but If I was 6’4” I’d definitely get an XL

If you are happy on a bike with a reach of 475mm why would you go down to one with a reach of only 439mm ? Even 457mm is a fair bit shorter than your current bike.
