I'm getting the engaged tone via telephone although admittedly I have very little opportunity during the day to call them and email I sent two days ago is as yet unreplied to.
I've ordered a bike for Ship to Store collection which is constantly showing as delivery in 14 days. Other bikes of the same model but in different sizes have changed status to "In Stock" but sadly not my size.
Payment has been taken from my wife's card.
Does anybody know if the 14 days thing is from the date of purchase or if it's a kind of '14 days or longer and if it doesn't say any different, it isn't any different' kind of arrangement. Would that mean that they don't know when they'll be getting it in stock.
Timings are getting quite tight now. It was orderd 9 days ago so still a bit early according to the original 14 day delivery but it says that every day. It's a bit of a worry.
Thanks for any shared experiences. Meanwhile, I'll keep checking my email and nipping to the loo where I can give them another try by phone.
Hey monksie,
I've just emailed you, get in touch.
14days on the web means that the bike is in one of the stores (it should say this if you hover over the "14days" bit on the web page), so it has to be recalled to the warehouse then sent out to the store you're requesting delivery to. I'll explain more when you give me a call.
Roger
Hiya Roger! Thank you for getting in touch. I'll nip to the loo again and check my email. My colleagues are worrying about me ๐
edit: I've just hovered the cursor over the 14 day thing on the website and it does indeed say in stock at another store - will be recalled and sent the store I chose - mint!
Thanks loads Roger, I'll give you a ring as soon as I get chance if that's OK? Much appreciated.
Top notch service from Roger at Evans Cycles. My nuerotic and unwaranted panic is over. I should, fingers crossed, have my bike and be pedalling home from the store via a lengthy diversion through Hayfield on Tuesday.
Thanks again Roger.

ps.it was ordered much later than I was aware so it's well within the 14 days specified.
No Problem, Monksie.
enjoy the bike when you get a leg over it. You've got a brilliant bike for the money...
Any issues, you've got my number.
I hope the rest of your experience is smooth.

given this has gone all private, i believe ship-to-store enables them to sell via the web whilst getting around manufacturers mail order embargoes. Seen Treks on Evans and JEJames websites both as in store only (riding buddy recently bought a Scratch from Evans).
