If you decide to head down to Spain my mate rates the Andorra bike parks quite highly - he's been to Whistler, the Alps, etc. etc. so he probably knows what he's on about.

This summer we did Andorra (valnord, Grandvalira), La Molina in Spain, Les Angles in France and the SuperBesse in the Massif Central on the way home. That was a pretty good road trip.

We also met a French guy from 2 alpes who started in Biarritz and took in all the parks between there and Perpignan. All the above plus Artouste, St Lerey, Ax 3 domaines, Cauteret. He reckoned they were all pretty good, with quicker lifts and way less traffic than the alps.
