Anyone know the size of front mech on a rocky mountain etsx (carbon rear end 2008 I think)
Googled it nowt on the official sites, best I can find is mtbr "clamp size varies by year, either 31.8 or 34.9mm"
can anyone confirm?

also shimano do a 31.8/34.9 design and a seperate 34.9 design, any ideas what the difference is? AFAIK the 31.8/34.9 have a removeable spacer so shirley the only difference is the inclusion or not of the spacer, if so it's a bit wierd doing a specific 34.9

The 34.9 mech will be an OE one which wasn't provided with spacers to shim it to 31.8mm.

Slight high-jack.

I've got a Shimano XT front mech.

The front mech is off a RM ETSX-70 (2004).

Sold the RM and got a hardtail running 1x10 so I haven't used it in years.
