I quite fancy having a go at this but you can only enter as part of a travel package via an approved operator, you need a signed form from the mayor, French officialdom etc etc.

Is it really worth using the above approach V just going to France for a week and riding the route on a day when it suits you?

Two of my colleagues have been accepted for this years edition on independent entries - I think this is the first year this has been available to non-frenchies. They did get their entries in within minutes of the opening though, so probably not much chance now.

They invited me along, and whilst I would love to ride the route, doing it with thousands of cyclists fillling the roads doesnt appeal. I reckon better to do it on a quiet day (and for free).

Last year was the first year that you could enter yourself without a French address.
So now you can just book online through the website. Both routes look tough, but act 2 looks like a killer!

There should be places left, as having 2 events means there is less of a rush. Very special experience, 100% closed roads, very well organised, very safe and lots of fun!

Doing acte 2 this year, which should be a truly epic day.

Entered on my own, just as I did last year when I did Acte 1. Which was also epic 😀

In short, do it! You will honestly love it!
