Having ridden SLR's for decades I've suddenly got an issue and they're uncomfortable.
Considering Specialized Ronin or Ergon.
There seem to be an enormous number of Ergon saddle models now but unlike other brands where there are really obvious differences in shape these all largely look the same. And they don't even vary much in price. There's no comparison engine and the descriptions are very brief.

Has anyone ridden or even seen enough of them in the flesh to have a view on which is 'best' for general all round riding (I guess trail/all mountain/enduro )
Have you used their saddle selector? I had one of their saddles before (SM I think, might’ve been Enduro) purchased using the selector and still think it’s the most comfy saddle I’ve had
I loved my Ergon SMC so much I bought another one!
Just looked again on my phone and found more details. I think the pro versions have ti rails saving a bit of weight.
The e bike saddles are heavier and seem to top up at the back.
the enduro seem to have padded sides.
Ergon something or other came with my Madonna frame.
It's ok, although to be fair I've probably only ridden 2500m of vert on it.... Most of my time with it has been spent in the park.
Maybe not relevant to your ideal saddle but.........Bought my mum an Ergon ST Core Eco (women) saddle for her Turbo Vado SL e-bike after frustratingly trying out a few various makes from other manufacturers and she absolutely loves it, she can cycle any distance without liner shorts and this morning she set off from here in Kirkcudbright to visit her old work mate who lives 26 miles away at Dalry for lunch, she'll charge it up at her house (she's got a rear rack top bag with all her stuff in it) and I imagine she'll be on her way back home now.
It was pricy but worth it in the end, I tried to save ££ with cheaper saddles but they all caused issues and ended up costing more in the long run, fair enough she's got a redshift suspension seat post as well but the saddle was definitely worth it.

My new bike has just come with another Ergon SM-10 saddle on it, same as the last one did...
They REALLY don't suit my backside (but I also know a couple of guys that love them)...

They are VERY different shapes...
Romin is literally my all time favourite off the peg saddle shape...
The Ergon's I've tried have all been horribly uncomfortable to my backside!
Find a shape that you like and stick with it IMO...
I also have an Ergon I need to sell if anyone wants it. I'll check the model after tea. Really didn't suit my bum, I'm now on a Cannondale Scoop and much happier.
Have an Ergon SMC4 L (at least that what i think it is, the writing is coming off the side of it) that came on a 2nd hand bike i bought and its the most comfy mtb saddle I've ever had
So comfy that I've been looking for another one for my other bike but that particular version is discontinued and none have appeared on Ebay, i know they do a newer version but i don't want to take the risk that its not quite the same as the old one so wont be as comfy
Tried one, ended up with five of hem now on different bikes. But saddles are such a personal thing.
I often wonder if we all have a stash of 'nearly' saddles that were recommended strongly enough for us to buy but booty said no so they all live together in a box?
Got an enduro that came on a bike. The comfiest saddle I have come across for a more upright riding position.
That's good advice, but I think I need something with a channel right now and the SLR super flow doesn't seem to work for me.

but it's interesting that his high rated saddle are very different shapes (I guess the personal prefs coming in). I actually tried a Spec Power Mimic on the road bike yesterday (Originally bought with K in mind but she didn't like it. I'd tried it on the Brompton and it was terrible. I really don't like the massive rear ramp on it (that you get if you have the nose level)
The shape (from pics at least) of the Ergon doesn't look that different to an SLR but I'm wondering if I briefly got to try one of those years ago that came fitted to a bike.
Tried the Ergon Enduro and hated it. Had my arse fit measured in an experienced dealers with the Ergon pressure seat and it still wasn't the saddle for me. My mate has an Ergon (not sure which) and he loves his. I realise this is no actual help to you but just goes to show.
Of the two recent Specialised saddles I've had, I liked the one that came on my Levo SL (Bridge) but not my Epic Evo (Power sport).
