Does anyone run Enduro Bearings in a Hope BB?
Notice any difference in performance/longevity? Al I can see is the balls are described as chromium-steel not stainless, I guess a slightly lower percentage of Cr in the alloy. So similar, but potentially slightly less hard
Been running Enduro bearings in XT BBs courtesy of Goldtec for a while. They're better than Shimano (spin freer for starters)but they still do go rusty IME. I'm planning on swapping to Hope BBs for the stainless bearings and proper lip seal as they wear out.
I didn't get on with the Enduro conversion in Shimano BB's, went rusty/gritty in no time. Tried on two seperate occasions absolutely following the instructions to the letter on the 2nd attempt after the 1st failed...made no difference
