Seem a good clearance price at under £40 for my size:

Anyone got one?  As hot and bad as some reviews state?

Not expecting miracles at this price and expecting to get a bit sweaty but for the odd hour or so off road seems a damn good price?

I like it - in fact I bought a 2nd in that very sale.

Yes, it's warm but you can remove the sleeves (which helps a lot) & I tend to just wear a thin layer underneath which sorts out the overheating if I think I'm going to get hot. Layering is the key with this item.

It's not a jacket I'd wear during the Summer at all, it is too hot for that. But the rest of the year it's fine. In fact, this Winter I had to get one of Endura's quilted efforts to keep warm - so I wouldn't say the Humvee is a 'boil in the bag' carte blanche item at all.

Waterproofing seems adequate too.

I've also not experienced any of the other problems noted.

Thanks for that - have to say not interested in ever employing (ie faffing with) the 'convert to gilet' part as I have a couple of gilets and a 'pacamac' type really thin jacket for other types of UK weather...

Great jacket for the price, I've got 2 of them. Use them for both running and cycling. Saw me through winter with just a long sleeve baselayer underneath, never felt boil in the bag to me. Don't think I've ever used the gillet.
