Tried both of these on in Evans, just wondering how people have got on with them - Altura felt nicer to wear and instantly warmer, but material 'feels' less waterproof and not as tough as the Endura.
Looking at these as I would like a new jacket to keep me warm and dry in the peaks. Not too worried about being too warm whilst I ride, as long as I'm warm during the inevitable map/mechanical stops.

Open to suggestions, but note I'm currently happy with my £35 regatta - these two are top of my budget

I have a mayhem, seems tough as old boots, very waterproof, breathable enough but you'll still get sweaty. The material sounds loud and crinkly and the size up big, I usually wear L/XL & a medium fits perfectly

As above really. I'm borderline xl xxl and xl is right. Jacket is great, it does get sweaty inside eventually but it works as well as it has any right to.

cheers, that's reassuring as it got a worryingly low score in mbuk this month - it was being compared to much more expensive jackets though
