A few weeks ago, I found a can of 3 in 1 oil in the garage and tried it on my chain. Since then, in all this awful weather, I've used it every time I've gone out, and after I've hosed it down.

My chain has never looked as clean, or behaved better during a ride. I'm sure this must be as big a faux pas as having gaiters on my stanchions, or a map board, but I think I'm going to stick with it.

Let the flaming commence.

Use it all the time. I find it as good as any other lube, and a fraction of the price compared to some.

3 in 1 is far too expensive

cheap engine oil from Wilkos and a squirty, refillable oil can

You can't beat the sparkly fresh feel of cleaning up with MucOff after a big dump
