Wanting to order a new bike but want to discuss some options
I appreciate probably a skeleton staff at the moment but webchat is unresponsive and have lodged a ticket also unanswered
Anyone know if its possible to pick up a phone and physically talk with someone, no numbers listed on website anymore?
Is Master B Richards still there / on here?
Ask yourself this: if they are this difficult to contact when you have a sales query, would you want to deal with them once they have your money?
generally no, but I want the bike they sell and nothing else compares for the money so...
I wouldn't waste your time trying to contact them. The bikes are decent and generally good value, but the amount you're saving covers any sorting out you have to do when it arrives - they're utterly useless at customer support (imo). Take a punt, but be prepared to sort it out yourself if it's not quite right.

I want some advice on sizing and to see if I can add an extra pair of wheels to the same order (same wheels not listed elsewhere on site with correct axle, I basically want both 650b and 700c wheels with the same bike) and also to see if bar tape can be left off as I will be swopping bars straight out so kind of need to speak to them first
Yeah think you're going to struggle there. Think of them as box shifters and you'll be fine, but I don't think any form of customisation will go too well.
I want some advice on sizing
from the same people that sold me a bike a size smaller than I ordered with the size sticker mysteriously missing, before doing a "moonlit flit" on their shop.
I've bought a couple of bits and bobs since then from them but I view it like a facebook marketplace purchase. The saving needs to offset the actual and potential ballache. I'd rather take sizing advice off a fb marketplace seller as well.
Ordered an On One Free Ranger off them on Easter Monday and it arrived yesterday I had a worry as the size chart advised a medium and as I always go for large (I’m 6 foot)I was a bit worried, I contacted them via their messenger service and after a couple of try’s they advised me the measurements were right so I ordered a medium and got to say it’s a perfect fit, was a bit worried after reading the Trustpilot reviews but I was able to follow the status of my order with my account on their website until Saturday when I couldn’t log in any more (more worrying) but got an e mail in Sunday saying it was being dispatched and then a text off the courier on Monday morning giving me an hour slot and it duly arrived, so definitely worth it also ordered a few extra s , bottle cages, pedals etc and changed the bar tape and saddle so can’t see any reason why you won’t be able to get another set of wheels, good luck

Hasn't been for months
Got home yesterday to find my small order delivered...
Except without informing me beforehand, they've not included one of the "3 for 2" items.
I log onto PX site, to find new order listed as "Order held whilst awaiting stock" for the missing item, a pair of Carnac TT overshoes, I ordered the last pair showing in stock when I placed order. Except even if they are expecting more stock, they've randomly changed the delivery address from my Paypal details to the address I used in December to send some bike bits to family in North Wales which is no good to me in Southampton during lockdown, plus it looks like they intend to charge me additional postage.
No obvious way to contact them on website, phone or facebook... Excellent!
https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CLPXP3BS/planet-x-pro-line-365x-bib-shorts large sizing is a bit generous considering the size table, the leg lowers appear to be sized for giant (not normal sized) tree trunk legs. Do wonder if medium would fit as I'm borderline 34" waist. Pad looks decent though.
Its weird as I've never had a problem with an order from them.
Bought a Pro Carbon Evo, last November and customised a couple of parts, carbon seat post and bars. All arrived within a few days exactly to spec.
Ordered some tyres last week and slung in some extra 3 for 2 socks, and again all arrive in a couple of days exactly as ordered.
I know they are not the easiest to contact but when I've emailed them in the past, I've always had a response.
Yeah think you’re going to struggle there. Think of them as box shifters and you’ll be fine, but I don’t think any form of customisation will go too well.
Not a box shiftier like the big brands and shops, there aren't boxes of bikes built in Taiwan awaiting PDI's and a new label. All the frames, wheels, parts etc are in the warehouse and they build the bikes to order mostly.
Last bike I bought I did the "come into the workshop and build it yourself" option which was fun. Also meant I could turn up with my own box of bits and leave with the OEM stuff I wasn't going to use.
Bike before that didn't have any custom options available but I'd ordered things like different tires, bars, grips and bits at the same time and they built it with those instead and put the originals in the box.

They have agreements around OEM stuff so they might say no because they can only supply a drive chain on a complete bike which means it needs to be finished, not 90% of a bike and some bits. I asked something similar.
Scotroutes has it.
This side of sales they are difficult, once they have your money they are even more difficult.
brant seemed to be the customer service for them on here, in lieu of them actually having any other semblance of customer service.
