Following on from previous post, i've up'd my budget a bit for a set of new brakes.
What would you choose out of the two and why?

Shimano. Reliable and fuss-free.
Have you seen how many Avid brakes come up on the classifides? There's a reason for that..... 🙂

Based on personal experience I'd say Shimano over Avid every time.
