Anyone used electrical tape on tubeless rims rather than Stans tape or similar? Successful or not - I've run out of the proper stuff!

Leccy tape or duct tape both worked for me in past !

I've used leccy tape at various times for exactly the same reason. You have to put more layers on as it gets pushed into the spoke holes more - if you've run out of the extortionately priced reinforced tape too 😕

The glue is a bit more flexible than on the Stan's stuff which means the tape tends to move a bit over time if you put it on tight. But it does work.

I use cross ply packing tape. About £3.99 on eBay.

What Hamish said. Had a blow out once where the tape burst into the spoke hole. Now I go round 3 times.

I use it. 3 loops per tyre...one towards one edge of the rim, one towards the other and the final one round the middle.
