There's lots of threads about knee pads on here, but much less that I can find about elbow pads - so what do you lot rate?

I've tried 661 veggie/chicken wings and Brand X ones, and both have worked lose and ended up round my wrists while doing rough descents.

I like the look of the POC Joint VPD, do they stay in place and are they comfy? £60 is a bit pricey too of course.

Also really like my Fox Launch Pro kneepads - so could try the elbow versions - hardly cheap at about £45 either!

Anything else that you rate?

Chicken Wings are mince- they're too small and lack shape, which means to get them to stay in place they need to be madly tight

I'd really recommend the POC Bones- they do look a bit OTT with the hard shell, but, paradoxically the size and shell make them more comfortable and better "placed" than any other pad I've used- they naturally move with you, so you're not left trying to hold them in place just with the straps. POC are superb at articulation... Also, for much the same reason they're far less enclosed than any soft pad I've ever seen so work out much less sweaty too.

Expensive unfortunately but IMO you absolutely get what you pay for. You just look a bit odd 😉

Cheers, could be an option as they will be mainly for DH use anyway and I don't mind looking like a stormtrooper.

Yes the joint VPD, I got them because I couldn't get on with their Bone arm pad.

It's been a while since I've worn them but I did get to try them on before I brought them. Unfortunatley I can't even remember what size they are as they are around my mums and not at home with me. They are either a small or medium.

Just looked on CRC at the price of the POC stuff 😯 definetly gone up in price since I brought the stuff a couple of years ago. IIRC my Spine protection VPD tee was about £160 of their, it's over £200 now 😯
