SRAM PC951
sorry sir 😉
Cheers for the recomendation, anyone use connex??
I got a brand new XTR 9sp off fleabay for £13 🙂
Whatever KMC do for that price.
Are KMC decent chains?
KMC X9.93. Even at RRP (£18?) they're probably the best value for money. Wiggle do them for around £14. Perhaps more durable than XTR and with quiet/clean shifts from the X-plates. Top chain.
Agree with Three Fish. I've used SRAM 991, 971 and 951 in the past. Got sick of replacing expensive chains so went for the cheaper KMC X9. They last longer than SRAM 991 chains and are much cheaper. Well impressed with KMC!
agree kmc
KMC again
+1 KMC
Asking if KMC chains are decent is like asking if the Pope is a wee bit catholic.
KMC X9.93 £10.50 at Parker Int. Get 2 for free delivery.
KMC X9.93 +1. Thanks for the tip andyl re Parker offers.
Yes KMC are great value.
I would avoid KMC chains, I find the split link thingy far inferior to the SRAM ones. I always use a SRAM one on both my SRAM chains (PC991 hollow-pin) and Shimano chains (XTR/DA)
The wife had a kmc chain on her commuter. It seems have worn quicker than our normal sram chains.
was SRAM951, with which I was happy enough
now KMCX9, with which I am equally happy.
Pins feel tighter fitted in the KMC (or more mushroomed possibly?)
I do seem to be dropping the chain a bit with the KMC though, despite all new drivetrain. No idea why this should be!!! 🙁
