[Closed] EggBeater rebuild - now it's gone all floppy

I have just put new sets of bearings in to my Candy 3 and Eggbeater 2Ti pedals.

While three of the pedals are fine, I appear to have made an error with one of the Eggbeaters - there is no tension in the Wing Assembly. It just flops around.

I have re-attempted several times with no luck...

Any advice please? (re fixing it, not the usual, buy Shimano responses).

Ta!

Well, that is the right answer.

New bearings? Pah, just fit and forget instead.

The trick with older CB pedals was not to disturb the central bush that holds the wings; I use a large screw extractor (conical tool with course LH thread) to pull the bushing out.
I take it with the new ones you can just lift the wings on their tube out once you've split the pedal into its two halves? In that case drive the tube out of the wings, set up the wings and springs up in their correct positions (as per other pedals) then push the tube back through (hard because the spring stops the hole in the wings from lining up).
I love my old style Mallets; they do need TLC though.

Sorted. I had mis-placed the spring after I'd cleaned it all.

Well that's a relief.
