I'm asking for peoples opinion.

Was asking what most people would wait, AS in do I sound like a d!ck raising a dispute because my bike hasn't turned up or do people think that's fair game.

I'd raise it asap..I always used to wait a bit first but then when you eventually start the process ebay then give the seller X amount of time to respond so you end up waiting even longer...

If you've attempted to contact the seller a couple of times over say a one week period with no response then I'd open a dispute. Some sellers are just plain lazy and it gives them a kick in the pants.

Presume you paid him paypal already? I would be bombarding him with 'I want to cancel this transaction' emails, raise paypal refund request etc telling him 2 weeks is too long and you dont want it any more.

You cant raise a paypal dispute until something ridiculous like 40 odd days but you can do an ebay one, ebay one wont get you your money back though, the paypal one will.

I had a similar situation a couple of months ago. I tried contacting the seller numerous times and had no replies. Opened a dispute with eBay who monitored my messages to the seller and finally got a response. Had to wait a week or so to give time for the seller to respond, then eBay found in my favour and issued a full refund within the next 48hrs.
A couple of days later and my item turned up with an apologetic email from seller. Had no problem paying the seller for the item afterwards.

course you can,

you can raise it 1 minute after you pay and escalate it a week later

you only get 45 days to put in a claim,

not sure where you got your info from

If i am wrong them i am wrong, simple as that and i will hold my hands up!

Still on going. Some people are a pain in the ar5e. Seller is telling me to cancel the ebay case and then he will give me my money back.

The bike is back on ebay. I'm just waiting for response from ebay customer services.

Think I'll have to name and shame on here soon.

Just ignore the messages and let eBay/paypal sort it out.. I don't think you can open a second case against them...
