Can anyone recommend any easy XC routes around Barmouth or within driving distance. GF does not like any of those wobbly cobbles!

Coed-y-Brenin? 15-20 min drive from Barmouth. Plenty of choice there for any skill level.
Failing that, if she really doesn’t want to go ‘off road’, ride across the bridge and along the estuary path to Dolgellau. Have a beer or two, turn round and come back.
I think it’s about 7 miles each way. Nice views if the sun is shining.

Mawddach trail to Dolgellau. Not even MTB really, it's 9 miles flat riding on an old railway line. Or there are some easy-ish forest roads/green lanes over towards LLwyngril
