Not that up to date with battery technology.
The hope is rated as 1.3 A and 8.4V and the bastid is rated as 8.5 V 1800 mA
Will it be ok to use the hope instead as it is a better charger?!

look on youtube for 'li-ion fire', the decide on mix and match. personally, non.
what makes you think the hope will be of better quality? the case might be nicer of course...
