The rear DT swiss RWS skewer I have has broken (the teeth slip, I guess as it is made from plastic.
Are there any alternatives to these, or should I just buy a new one?
Cheers
Paul
Superstar do cheap ones. Probably a lot heavier though.
iirc the new ones are metal? i think you can buy replacement spares for em too
or you could just get a superstar qr, theyre nearly as good and much cheaper
Just taken the lever off, the plastic teeth have sheared off.
Superstar just seem to sell quick releases, I was looking for something similar to the DT swiss method
My axle broke too, the actual lever has dissapeared during a ride, came to take my wheel out and was left a bit stumped!
I replaced it with the 10mm QR superstar axle which is absolutely fine if you can work a QR...
My hub isn't a 10mm one though, so they won't work!
They do a 9mm one too, for front hubs. 10mm is for the rear.
DT are the only ones I know of that use a ratchet system though. Judging by the complaints you see, there may be a reason for that.
I assume you are looking for super light skewers?

Let us know what you end up buying and what they're like...
Not looking for light, I just managed to do them up tighter.
Which is probably why they stripped the teeth. I'll just put one of my old shimano ones back in!
