what on earth is the red button for on the handle side? cant figure it out as the instrucitons suggest you should use it to open or close the lever, so cant really understand and fathom out at what point you would use it?
I think the red 'button' is no more than a bolt which keeps the lever attached to the rod.
ah righty - so basically dont need to touch it full stop to tighten up etc? just ignore its there i guess?
Yep - you just leave it alone!
You use it to adjust the rotated position of the handle once it's done up. Push the red button, pull the lever away frow the dropout and rotate.
also useful when undoing, to rotate the lever to a convenient position. It's important to make sure it's properly seated before turning lever though...
