When pedalling I get a inner clicking ping every now and again and it emanates from the hub. Tried another wheel and no problems.

I thought I solved the issueby giving a good clean and grease but it started playing up again.

I was wondering if the bits are worn. Perhaps the hub experts can cast an eye over these pix.

Cheers RT

PS Not sure what DT Swiss Hub it is, as it came with a 07 stumpy.

could it be a spoke/nipple that's worked loose?

My pawl snapped it half on the same hub a while back strangely, but other than that can't see anything obvious . You can get pawl set but I struggled to get them with out having to pay postage which doubles the price

I'll check the spokes. But it does feel like it's in the hub.

Spookily, I've just taken apart a DT hub exactly like that one, too.

Check the bearings out very carefully I'd say

Yours looks no worse inside than mine did, but mine needs new bearings. It's simple to knock them out and replace them, but give the whole hub a good clean and some decent grease before you put it back together. That roller bearing can be removed and the rollers cleaned out as well.

There's 3 cartrige bearings in there, all different sizes (Arrgh!) 6000 2rs, 16100 2rs, and 6900 2rs.
