So on using the tech manual and adding the advised pressure along with one token im nowhere near getting full travel . Fork feels nice and supple off the top and ramps up nice but im not using 30mm of travel , take the spacer out and the fork feels too linear , with token back in and 40psi less i get full travel but way too soft and unsupported at the top , any suggestions , ta
Can you get smaller tokens to fit as a simple compromise between the two?

i rarely use the last part of my manitou forks, supple of top and lovely feel regardless
perhaps go with the recommended setup and see how that works
As i remember... the first few percent is coil anyway? and the damper is positional? ie how deep you are into the travel determines the damper characteristics? maybe its a built in bottom out design

Which fork is it? The dampers on the 535 and 232 are very differernt.

Is it new? Asking because when I looked recently, no one in the UK was selling it.
The 535's position sesnsitive damping is very different from most forks, the key is to set it up at 25% sag so that the fork sits in the correct part of the travel, you can then use the spacers and compression damping to tweek the feel.
The fork inhereentkly has a very progressive feel and tends to keep the last 10% of so of travel back in reserve in case of emergencies.
Personaly I'd preservere with removing a volumer spacer and maybe wind on an extra blip of compression damping.
