Heavy(fat) rider, broken Sun Ringle and a few Superstar freehubs in the past.
What do you think DT Swiss 350 or Hope Pro 2 Evo rear hub?

I use both. As reliable as each other. I prefer the sound of the 350, softer and quieter. Pick up on them is very similar too IIRC.

Hope.
The DT isn't a bad hub, but they seem to eat drive side end bearings on the 340/350/370/Cerit/Onyx as they're not very big.
Having said that, I've had a couple of them & they've been ok, just prefer Hope for reliability (I know so many on here will laugh at that though..)

The 350 is a totally different hub to the 340/370/Onyx etc. Same internals as a 240 and a far better option than a Hope. Axl end cap interchangeability similar to Hope, but functionally much better - less drag, and a more reliable freehub.

I stand corrected sillyoldman, I was sure I'd stripped a 350 & found it to be the cheaper design.
If it is the same as the 240 etc. then get them!
Only niggle is the special tool to replace the lsat bearing, but thats a minor issue for whats otherwise a great hub.

Thanks for your opinions.
I'm leaning towards the DT because I think the star ratchet is a better design.

Yep, 350 is just 240 internals in a heavier hubshell. Definitely my choice.

If you want 29er wheels I've got a set of unused straight pull 350s on DT rims.

350 is very good hub with all the dt240 innards and lots of flexibilty with axle options (for the rear anyway) and its only about 20g heavier in centrelock form!.

Never really had a problem with hope tho either!.

Goldenwonder... Are you still selling your black rev spokes at all by the way?.

this was my question a few weeks back

my choice was DT350 (not bought yet though) - mainly because of the internals, and the axle interchangeability

No Probs GW. Presume Bike24 is still next best place on price? Know of any good UK suppliers?

Rose Bikes did very cheap silver Revs, I got my black ones from Bike24 as you say, who were cheapest for black ones. Far cheaper than the UK.

Ta njee, never figured why rose don't do em in black. Mind you I'm normally happy to go silver, its just I picked up a few black ones at a too good price.

Will double check my rim erd when they turn up before I commit any further I think.... Unless I find a deal:)
