Bikepackers! What size dry bag are you stuffing your sleeping bag into? (looking at the Airlok extra ones from Alpkit).

Thanks in advance,

BTM

I use a 13L one for my pipedream 600. Have a look at this page for more information. Click here

Ahh - I didn't see that, thanks!

Next question - any recommends for a cheapo cooking mug? Not arsed about Ti (even though the Alpkit one does look good value!

Would depend on the volume of the bag maybe?

I can get my Rab ascent 700, down jacket, base layer top & trousers, hat, socks & hygine stuff into alpkit 20ltr with room to spare.

In summer I can get a lighter 500 bag to work fine in the 13 ltr.

In my experience if one stuffs too much in to a dry sack then in turn that sack doesnt pack so gracefully into your backpack - leave a little space so your drybag is pliable enough to pack more effectively .. Its more important that your backpack is balanced and packed in a symmetrical balanced fashion.. Nowt worse than a lumpy backpack!

It's going on the bars hopefully, backpack stuff will go inside a hi-tech bin bag, a decent one mind.
