I've considering getting one these very cheap Draper bike stands and wondered if they are any good?

All that does is hold the back wheel off the floor. You might as well just turn the bike upside down! ๐
with peterpoddy on this one
WHY?
buy some tools first!
but they will make it easier for setting up gears which is a pain to do with the bike upside down.
i have one like that for tweaking - one of my best buys
which is a pain to do with the bike upside down.
No it's not! ๐
Anyway, you can adjust gears when you're actucally riding!
That is a display stand not a work shop / repair stand.
Get a great bike tall thing with a clamp.
I just use a couple of straps hung over the rafters in the garage. One on the seat, another on the handlebars. Not perfect by a long shot, but I can walk around the bike, sort gears and brakes etc.
Personally I'd save the extra and get a "propper" stand.
