Do - ride in the Alps at least once, respect other trail users and the environment, remember which way round the euros put their brakes...
Don't - fix a mechanical by putting your bike across the trail, take yourself too seriously, assume your mate's 'give it some welly' is the same as your 'give it some welly' when jumping a push bike...
Do - it because it's fun
Don't worry about having an off day or not being as gnar as the next bloke/lady.
Do - remember why we ride when you're having a tough ride.
Don't - quit, you will always regret it.

DON'T upend your bike to fix a puncture in the middle of the trail just around from a blind, fast corner.
DO say hi to everyone on a bike (even roadies)
