I have a Jake the Snake which is a tad long in the TT...about 595mm. My road bike is 575 and feels really nice plus I can ride it for miles and miles in comfort whereas JTS always seems a bit too stretched out so I get back ache etc after about 30 miles.(I already have a short stem on it so can't compensate there any more). When I ride it off road I can't seem to get any real power down when I need it and the steering is a bit sluggish.
I'd really like a Singular Kite but can't raise the cash atm. I spotted the Dolan
and at a snip over £100 it seems to be a good way to try a shorter frame without breaking the bank.
Does anyone know what they are like to ride?
It will be a sort of do it all bike. Winter road (rural), off road day bike (on and off road sorties of 100 miles or so), some singletrack sessions, hopefully some CX racing but no touring ambitions.
I have sufficient in the way of 29ers to keep me going for MTB requirements....this is going to do everything in between mtb and road.
Any feedback would be brilliant!
