No, not at 5'6" but having converted my 26 rigid bike to a 69er I'd like a rigid specific 29er, something designed to run a 440mm fork to keep the front low enough.

What size is right for riding a 29er then?

These 26 v 29 threads are getting very dull. It looks like wheel size choice is here to stay, just accept it and move on.

Im only 5'6" and ride a medium inbred 29er - tried a small but was too small (officially too small as agreed by the guys at on-one). Its comfy and I have done over 3k miles on it .... I bet if I did post a pic you'd still say it was too big.

Personally I ride what feels right not what someone else tell me looks right, isnt that how we should judge our bikes?

actually looks massive on me, maybe a little black number in 26" would show off my curves better?

you'll be wanting that frame back 1 day Taz. It's still in the box at the mo, squawk if the pain gets too much.

Nobody realises that my Sultan is a 23" frame - it looks so good and in proportion for me.

Haven't got any pics but the guys i ride with who berate me for having big wheels often relent and comment that it looks all normal in proportion when i'm riding it. I'm a smidge over 6ft 3 for what its worth.

So where do you start with that picture of tazzymtb -
Boy band sleeveless t-shirt
Lycra leggings
Or (& worst of all) suspension forks to ride around a field !!!!

6'4" odd, so i guess a 29er would fit. Wont be getting one though I would like to try one, but only for a short ride. When i made the switch from 20" to 26" it took a while to get used to the giant wheels. When I went back to the bmx, i found it far too small and nervous, which was a real shame. I didn't give myself a chance to get used to it again and stopped riding it altogether. I don't want that to happen again as i have 3 great 26" bikes with no plans to change.

It's alright Euro,it's not an exclusive club & you're still allowed to carry on riding 26" wheeled bikes..I do 🙂

Although some do seem to think it's an all or nothing thing 🙄
