Reason I ask is that I need to purchase some more and the 500ml goes for around £12 and the 980ml goes for around £18
Obviously the larger one is more cost effective but will last really long as I need it only for top up?
So once opened will it start to go off as I wont probably get through this for a few years

will eventually but I have just bought a quart and I expect I will use it up before it goes solid - I reckon if you keep the lid on tight then it should last a fair time - my last bottle lasted for a year!

I had a half full bottle that lasted for a couple of years due to being traumatised by my first attempt at going tubeless. Since discovered the DIY inflator thankfully.
