Morning,
I'm looking for a bit of knowledge on youth saddles for MTB, hopefully one of you lot has solved this issue before!

My 11yo nephew has recently got his first mtb and is buzzing, however he's complaining that his saddle isn't that comfortable. In fact he's asked for a padded saddle cover for Christmas but I'm assuming that's because one of his mates has one.
So, sensing a Christmas present idea I searched for youth saddles (damned if I'm going to buy him a floppy gel bum pad!) And found a few such as this:
Nukeproof Urchin Youth Saddle

My concern is that as a tallish, lanky skinny 11yo he's too big for a youth saddle. Any thoughts?

Ps. Padded shorts is the other obvious option however about 90% of his time seems to be building jumps and pissing about in the woods (good lad), rather than going on 'proper' rides

My 11 year old commplained about his saddle on his Voodoo Nzumbi, I let him try my Charge Spoon, he was happy on that so got him a new one.

Nice one, thanks for the reply. The bike is a Trek Marlin with a Bontrager Arvada saddle and people aren't exactly singing it's (the saddle's) praises online. I'm maybe swaying towards finding him a more widely loved perch, Charge spoon or the like could be spot on

I've just bought a couple from decathlon, seem decent with more padding than the OEM ones but won't be used until after Santa visits.
