I have a plastic BETO track pump that I picked up for around a tenner ages ago. The valve chuck was the weak point, so when the seals gave up after a year or so I just bought a much better quality Topeak chuck to replace it and its worked without fault since then. Still came out cheap overall.
A review if you get it please - looking for a cheap track pump to keep at work....

Cheap one to keep at work - TK Maxx have Bell ones for ยฃ7. No pressure gauge, but good quality, metal pump.

It costs a tenner more for a pump that will never give a problem http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=1608, sometimes its a false economy to buy too cheap.
