Usually ride tubeless due to numerous snakebites in the past. Now trying to pull together a bike for a mate and need a couple of tubes. Realised all the ones I have in my box have cm long snakebites in them.

Can they be fixed in the same way as a normal puncture, or due to the length of the bites are they will fail soon enough and are ready for the bin?

Don't know if I'd bother with such a big cut, mostly my snakebites were smaller and they did patch up fine.

I don't bother fixing them ,but there are always those big patches in the TipTop kits that look like they could cover that length.

I patch them, never had a split as long as a cm though.

I've tried in the past, but it's never worked, they just become next time arounds chainstay cover.

Almost never get snakebites, but on the odd occasion I have had, they've been small and easily repaired.
You may as well give it a go, before ditching the tube.

Yes, but usually 2mm, not a cm.

I have a pile of 14 tubes waiting for a rare day off (and riding's not possible) to be repaired.

I've used two small patches successfully on a snake bite punctures.

same as fooman, made two patches work

in the warm and the dry however, not out on the trail.
