just checking, ate the square taper BB's the same, thinking of some more classic looking cranks for my retro roadie ๐
no
damit, why do shimano have to make such fugly chainsets
Campag do much better bearings anyway so BB, headsets, hubs are much better anyway!
Geofrey Butler always have loads of cheap Campag BB/ chainsets
not after new stuff, just some older looking minimalist triple cranks to replace the mid 80's shimano ones.
Classic looking and triple? Ummmm, ok....
The taper is sort of the same. same angle, but the campag one starts wider than the shimango one so campag cranks don't go on as far as they should on a 'mango bb. Still, my veloche cranks haven't fallen off it yet...
shimano bb always worked for me with campag ok the taper is differant but it does not seam to be a issue
Campag taper and shimano taper is just a NO..
the ones that still have not fallen off yet aren't pedalling hard enough... ๐
Or have deformed the crank taper that hard it will not stay on axle after....
Just get a campag bb... they work?????
zone
the taper is the same, but as bikewhisperer says, the cross section is slightly different so:
1. Campag cranks sit further out on a Shimano BB
2. Shimano cranks slide too far on a Campag BB and may run out of taper
Your situation is #1 and shouldn't be a problem. Chainline will be out by a few mil but that's all.

just google this... Sheldon puts it straight. As always ๐
