My forks are in need of a dust seal service so I thought about giving it a go as it looks quite easy on Mojo's website. Is it as easy as it looks? Also there seem to be two different types of seal (a low friction set and a normal set). Are the low friction ones markedly better than the normal ones for the extra £10? My forks are a few years old so obviously aren't the spangly Kashima coated ones. Cheers
Yes it really is that simple. One thing that might help though is before you tap the base nuts with a mallet to release the lowers, take the base nuts off, remove the crush washers, then screw the base nuts back on. If you don't do this you might find it difficult to undo once the lowers have been released as it will turn the rod.
(If that doesn't make sense now, read it whilst doing it and it will)
Also get the low friction seals (SKF), they are much better than the older versions.
mojo are even doing free pillows of lube with orders over £20 this week.

yep did this on my mates Fox Vanilla's a few weeks back. The seal service really is that easy. Just make sure you have a suitable measuring cylinder to measure the correct amount of fluids etc.
