[Closed] Dismantling an asgard shed?

Any tips on this? Looking at picking one up second hand and most adverts always say buyer to dismantle.

I've got a mid sized trailer so should be able to transport one.

Any ideas how long they take and what tools you need?

Yes I'm being tight but £500 is too much for a metal shed so looking used.

It's just an awful lot of screws and reversing the assembly instructions will be easiest as suggested. An electric drill/driver will save you a lot of time

Edit: take a friend, very handy to have someone to hang on to panels as you undo them and help carry the bigger panels

Did this on my own in December. About a 2 hour job. Make sure you have an electric screwdriver. The only thing I struggled with was removing the hydraulic lifts. I called Asgard who were very helpful. Basically you have to het a screwdriver under the silver clip and lever it off. Do this under a cloth or something as it is likely to ping off and you'll spend a while trying to find it. In my case this took quite a lot of persuading, clipping it back on the other end was a bugger too. Thinking about the wooden base was a little awkward to get out on my own but manage it with a crowbar.

Would be made a lot easier with another set of hands

I had a big a3 envelope for the parts, and wrote out the dismantling order on it as I went. Drawing around the appropriate screws so I knew which fasteners were for which step

Built up fine at the new house.

Edit - I didn't reverse the installation instructions, it's pretty obvious.

Thanks guys. Appreciate you taking the time to write detailed responses.

I'll take the Makita

Are the screw heads hex bit or actually screwdriver heads?

Phillips. There are also bolts to hold the lid so a socket set or adjustable spanner. Don't forget a screwdriver or some type of prying device or you won't be able to decouple the struts from the frame.

it's pretty easy, I dismantled ours 3 times I think.

As they say, electric screwdriver and be careful popping out the shockers (or whatever they're called)

PS. Got a dismantled 4 bike in the garage in Manchester. Anyone want to buy it? Will deliver.

You'll need to rebuild it so the OP can dismantle it.

Yep, its a doddle, i dismantled my 3 biker when i moved it from the rear yard to inside the garage. Took about 15 minutes to dismantle by myself with an electric screwdriver.
