I'm wondering whether to switch my cross bike's fork to a disc model for this season. You know, just because.

There isn't much out there and prices seem to go from Kinesis's cheap Alloy number to bonkers expensive Enve stuff.

Any recomendations (ideally need 45mm rake, 400mm A2C)?

Ta.

(Yes, I could just continue mid-ranking at best with cantis...)

I've had that kinesis carbon one for a few years - forget the name of it but it was a popular choice, a step up from the cheap alloy numbers.

Very good - use my cx bike for trail riding and commuting though so don't know what a cx racer would think about it. I'd expect there must be more choice now that disks are more established - it's a sound fork though.

I liked my DC19s, I doubt they made me any faster.

Al - I have no doubt that nothing I do with the bike will make me any faster.

I'm just contemplating some tub wheels, and thought about building them with disc hubs (the frame has a disc tab). Which got me on to thinking that maybe I could add a disc fork and away I go.
