Disc brake mounting...
 

[Closed] Disc brake mounting help, first time build with a pic!

The frame below doesn't seem to have obvious disc brake mounting points and am want to use some shimano dual controls ( which i already have ) any ideas on how to sort this would be appreciated, thanks

no easy answer - there are some adaptors available that bolt on to the v brake mount and axle.

That frame is a perfect candidate for the the specialized disk adapter. It mounts to V post and a hole on the dropout. You'll need to drill the hole but its a large flat dropout so it won't be tricky. The hard bit will be finding one

Most, if not all, of the other disk adapters mount to the axle and that makes it a faff to take the wheel out.

A2Z used to do one also.
Is the frame any good?? I considered getting a similar thing for an old V Braked frame I had. Decided against it as the frame isn't necessarily able to take the stress from the disc brakes, as it wasn't designed to.
Also I notice that the frame hasn't a replaceable mech hanger.

Is a replacement frame an option? Rather extreme, but still sensible..

thanks all, might have to re-think plans, the frame was a gift so no losses there. Might give single speed a go!
