So, the never end saga of attempting to mount tubeless Beavers has defeated me. And before a flurry of tubeless mounting techniques appears, Ive been through the whole gamut even with a Bonty Flash charger failing - to be fair I have 21mm rims and they do say max 17 on the tyre.
Before I re-invest then I just want to check - are Dirty Dans as easy to get up tubeless as the rest of the TL Easy range?
No problems for me on stans arch ex, with a track pump. Done both 26 and 27.5.
I found them very difficult on 26er
Storms?
got linked here from a cottaging forum, wasn't what i expected ๐
Don't use tubeless beavers? Regular ones go up tubeless fine.
Talking about 29s here, if you're wheels are the wrong size I can't help you ๐
They are 29 standard beavers. Of the two, it's the EXC that doesn't go up.
What rims are you using? Never had a problem with beavers myself, that's on a flow rim (22.6mm).
American Classic MTB race and Kinesis IX9, and Giant OEM before that.
Are they new ?
Had 3 or 4 pairs (so maybe 8 tyres) of wire, folding and EXC beavers on my american classics (29er).
Nae bother.
Any way.
About the Dirty Dans?
Pad out the rims with a few turns of insulation tape.
Pull the sidewalls apart all the way round the rim
Hang the wheel off the ground and try again with the flash charger.
