The yeti has a 7.875 x 2.00 shock fitted to it. What would be the effect of fitting a 7.875 x 2.25 to it, would the rear travel increase or would my carbon rear triangle spontaneously explode?! ๐

It would increase the travel, and carbon explosions are standard on Yetis anyway.
You may also have a foul in part of the linkage, or the tyre could hit the frame as well so have a think out what the extra movement will do
What you talking about Willis!!
I'm not intending to try it, more of a theoretical question
It'd give you about 15mm more travel, but the linkage or tyre would probably hit the frame before the shock bottomed out, which could be bad
