Evening all... after last night's debacle of cutting the wrong end of my brake hose I've fitted a spare hose from another brake.
The barb on my hoses were silver.. is it OK to use a brass coloured barb? I've read they are 2.1mm and 2.3mm diameters respectively but the guy lbs thinks you can use the brass ones on any shimano hose.
Anyone really knowledgeable about shimano brakes about?

BH90 and BH59 have different ID's, hence the two barb options.

You can use the brass one successfully (I have) but getting it in is a bit of a struggle.
